The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) works by tapping on acupressure meridians to release blockages.

 

Our body is composed of energy pathways or neural pathways, and it is believed that a traumatic event may cause a blockage in these energy pathways. The blockages then cause a traumatic event to be continuously brought to the consciousness. EFT is incredibly quick and effective method for releasing those blockages.

 

Sometimes dubbed “emotional acupressure” or “acupuncture without the needles”, EFT is often said it works when nothing else does. EFT helps not only emotional issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, phobias, fears, stress, addictions and obsessive-compulsive behaviors, but it can also be used for treating physical pain such as back and neck pain. In is also used in business and peak performance coaching.

 

It is believed that through the rhythmic tapping of specific Meridian points, the energy that gets stuck in the limbic system and is thus causing blockages within a certain neural pathways.

How long does EFT take?

 

Usually a simple issue or challenge can be resolved within 2-3 sessions. Deeply rooted and complex issues that may have present several aspects (quite often during a session itself) and take longer, or related challenges that need to be resolved may surface.
